Usually an average and healthy Chow Chow is 17 to 20 inches. The eyes are dark brown in color and set. They are placed wide apart and moderate in size. The eye rims are black in color with lids that do not droop. The dog has small ears and are thick. They are triangular in shape with a little rounding at the tip. These ears are erect.
