A small word, simple deed and an incident can change life…
Alexander the great was known for his vaulting desire to win the world. No wonder he was & is still known as 'Alexander the great.'
The incidents related to his life have always been a source of inspiration for ambitious and optimistic persons.
The one, depicted below would also make you realize that one's outlook toward life and things related to us makes all the difference. Once, Alexander the great was busy fighting Iran and at last he managed to defeat the king of Iran.
Thereafter, came the phase of plundering treasures. Alexander's commanders & soldiers were busy in the task. Suddenly a commander placed a small box before Alexander. The box was made of sandalwood, embroidered in gold & bedecked with gems & jewels. He was bedazzled at the sight of this exquisite box & was confused about what to keep inside it.
He immediately called upon a meeting and asked his commanders and soldiers to suggest him about what to be kept inside the beautiful box. All of them had different ideas in their mind. Some suggested that precious apparel should be kept inside the box & some suggested precious jewels. However, Alexander could not be satisfied with any of the answers given below.
He was deeply engrossed with the thoughts about what had made him reach the stage of extreme glory & super success. Suddenly he realized that a poem composed by great Roman poet homer that infused life in to him. Thereby he decided that he would treasure Iliad in the box.
True, words and that too, coming from the wise can change your life for the better.
